In coincidenza con il quindicesimo anniversario della sua fondazione, la Signum presenta The Best of King’s Singers, un imperdibile cofanetto doppio che raccoglie il meglio del meglio delle registrazioni effettuate nel corso degli ultimi anni da questo famoso complesso per l’etichetta britannica. Il primo disco propone una serie di brani classici tratti da Christmas (l’album uscito nel 2001 che ha segnato l’esordio dei King’s Singers nel catalogo della Signum), Landscape and Time, Treason and Dischord, Gesualdo’s Tenebrae Responsories, Sacred Bridges, Siglo de Oro, Romance du soir, From the Heart, High Flights e Royal Rhymes and Rounds, disco pubblicato nel 2012 per celebrare il Giubileo di Diamante della regina Elisabetta II. Il secondo disco è invece incentrato sul repertorio pop, con una bella silloge di pagine tratte dagli album Six, From the Heart, Swimming over London, l’ultimo album pop pubblicato dai King’s Singers, e Simple Gifts, vincitore di un prestigiosissimo Grammy Award. Una nuova gemma dei mitici King’s Singers da non farsi assolutamente sfuggire.
