L’ensemble di strumenti originali Classical Opera va alla scoperta in questo incantevole disco delle meravigliose arie del Georg Friedrich Händel e i suoi contemporanei William Boyce, John Christopher Smith e Thomas Augustine Arne composero per il celebre tenore settecentesco John Beard (1716-1791). Il ruolo di questo leggendari cantante del passato viene ricoperto da Allan Clayton, che esegue anche un duetto tratto da L’Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato con il soprano Mary Bevan.
