Wolfgang Bernreuther: I wonder why

"I Wonder Why" complements clearaudio's "Audiophile Edition" with another brilliant 180g pressing. Recorded by blues guitarist and singer Wolfgang Bernreuther, who was called an "empathetic and classy guitar player" by Carl Ludwig Reichert in his new book "Blues - Geschichte und Geschichten" (dtv).
The contrabassist Rudi Bayer from Regensburg and the multi-instrumentalist Golly, who features with the viola, guitar, harmonica, saxophone and percussion, have cooperated on this album of 14 songs. Besides their own compositions, the album also contains tastefully arranged cover versions of blues classics, away from the mainstream. As a clear proof for the authentic interpretation of the songs the american radio sender "King Biscuit Time" invited Bernreuther in the year 2000 for a half-hourly live performance, which was broadcasted in the US and Japan. This recording was brilliantly mastered by established cutting master Wilfried Zahn. The sound of the LP is almost magical and seduces the listener to want to hear it again and again - a delectation for audiophile gourmets! The clearaudio audiophile 180g pressings are cut from the original analogue masters. Galvanization of the foil and the pressing of the record is made in Germany. The record consists of 100% Virgin Vinyl and weights about 180g. From every pressing matrix a maximum of 1000 pressings will be manufactured. The edition is limited to ensure the best pressing quality!
